How We Teach Our Kids
As we gear up for another fall season, we want to take a few weeks to highlight a very important aspect of our church: Centerpoint Kids. This week, we want to focus on our curriculum, The Gospel Project for Kids. Check out the video and post below to learn more about what we do at Centerpoint Kids.

The Gospel Project for Kids immerses kids of all ages in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel.
Each week, every age group - from babies all the way up to sixth graders - learns the same story. The story is brought to life with activities, crafts, coloring sheets, songs, and memory verses (with hand motions!). These various components all help the children understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
How It Impacts Parents
As a parent, I love this system. My kids learn the same songs and are learning the same lessons each week. They go to church excited to learn and come home excited to share what they learned about. And, most amazing of all, we are memorizing Bible verses together as our family. My youngest may not understand the words yet, but she does the motions with us, and soon enough will be storing scripture in her heart.
And as a volunteer, I love how structured it is. There are no last minute preparations or scrambling to figure out what to teach - everything is prepared and ready to go in advance. And our Centerpoint Kids coordinators do a fantastic job of preparing the needed supplies, setting everything up and providing guidance to the volunteers. It really is a fantastic ministry!
How You Can Get Involved
So whether you are a parent or potential volunteer (or both), consider how you can invest in this ministry. And if you are not comfortable teaching or just want to ease into serving with the kids, there are plenty of roles you could fill - from check-in, security, or just helping in a classroom. There is space for you and you will surely be blessed by working with our awesome children!
